Brazilian Circular Economy Pilot Project: Integrating Local Stakeholders’ Perception and Social Context in Industrial Symbiosis Analyses

This paper aims to analyze organisations’ behaviour in the Industrial Symbiosis implementation process Circular Economy Pilot Project, Brazil from actors’ perception. We conducted an exploratory and descriptive study with a qualitative approach attain research objective. The data collection involved depth interviews eighteen actors. Data were analyzed using Content Analysis technique. results show still incipient industrial symbiosis network, few connections between actors, based on bilateral exchanges of materials, water energy. From analysis, it was possible identify elements that influence organisations. When comes exogenous elements, is clear laws sanctions are ones most determine organisational action. However, this pressure focused traditional unidirectional model production processes.
